Ink-7 Brush Rough derivatives

Ink-7 is also one of the brush I used a lot. This brush has nice rough texture, with some tweaks that I did below, I make it as my default "pencil" brush.
This is the original Basic-1 brush:

Here are some derivatives that I made from this brush (that is available by default):

Pencilly 1

I wanted the pencil texture to be more rough, the sample below is more or less what I imagine:

I am still tweaking things here and there, but for now this one suffices.
My goal is a creamy pencil, solid yet texture-y. Finding the balance of texture (which I think, is opacity play) and creamy (thick-ish strokes).

The parameters:

1.) In Brush Tip view, I change the value of Fade to 0.50 on both Horizontal and Vertical.
2.) I also change the value of Density to 60%, although I modify this a lot when I draw, depending on the needs.

3.) In Flow view, which is originally disabled, I enable it.
4.) I set the curve to be as shown. It is personal preference.

5.) (optional) Just like how I modified Brush-1 Roundy, I changed the Size » Pressure parameter in similar way. You can keep the original parameter with more pointy ends, if you want. Personally, with my art style, I want my brushes to have bigger tip sizes, so I set this up.

I also occasionally change the patterns to achieve different texture feels, but most of the time I just stick to the original default-paper texture.

Sample:

Note:

To see more "solid creamy" texture with less "holes", this brush will give more of that if you draw with bigger canvas and higher DPI. With very small canvas, it will be very rough texture-y. See the difference between the sample drawing and the preview image of this brush.

Pencilly 2

This is an opaque version of Pencilly 1.

Personally this is my new favourite, I grow to like making doodles with this brush recently. (May 2022)

The parameters:

1.) In Brush Tip view, I change the value of Fade to 0.50 on both Horizontal and Vertical.
2.) I also change the value of Density to 60%, although I modify this a lot when I draw, depending on the needs.

So far, it is the same as Pencilly 1.

3.) In Flow view, disable (written as deactivate in the image above, sorry for the inconsistencies!) the Pen Settings.
4.) Set the flow strength to 80%. I have Flow slider on my Krita UI and I can change it whenever I want during drawing time.

5.) Select on Texture » Strength view, keep it ticked, but disable the Pen Settings, as shown above.

Sample:

Note:

I believe this brush works the best with pen pressure detection activated.

Pencilly 3

Pencilly 3 is a derivative from Pencilly 2, with a fade-out effect on longer line stroke.

It is a very interesting setting! It looks like it fades out, right? I do quite some long line strokes too so this is a new fun experience for me.

The parameters:

1.) In Brush Tip view, I change the value of Fade to 0.50 on both Horizontal and Vertical.
2.) I also change the value of Density to 60%, although I modify this a lot when I draw, depending on the needs.

So far, it is the same as Pencilly 1 and 2.

3.) In Flow view, disable (written as deactivate in the image above, sorry for the inconsistencies!) the Pen Settings.
4.) Set the flow strength to 70%. In Pencilly 2, I change the flow % flexibly, but in this Pencilly 3, I don't change this at all. I keep it at 70% all the time.

5.) Select on Texture » Strength view, enable the Pen Settings.
6.) Enable Pressure, and set the curve as shown above.

7.) Enable Fade, and set the curve as shown above.

Sample:

Note:

This brush resembles a lot an analog marker that runs out of ink the more you draw the stroke. It is a nice experience to draw, the imperfection of the line weight actually gives it a very interesting look. I personally love it, and so I start using this brush more often.
This brush won't work as intended if your linework is short. It will only work if you draw long, continuous lines.
